The Destefano Family
Dr. & Mrs. Peter Destefano have been driving Lexus vehicles for 10+ years now. In the fall of 2003, their daughter, Melissita joined the Lexus family when she won her 2003 ES300 in the annual St. Francis Hospital raffle. (Shown in photo from left to right: Ms. Melissita Destefano with her ES300, Dr. Peter Destefano with his RX300, and Mrs. Melissa Destefano with her GS430) (Since that photo was take, Dr. Destefano has upgraded his RX300 to a new 2004 RX330, adding yet another Lexus to the list.)

ATTN: Brian Bennett

Dear Mr. Bennett,
I have a problem with my LS430. I am wondering if there is an engine in my car? This may seem odd, but I have never looked, and I certainly can't hear an engine running. Recently I had several visitors from France visiting my company. As I drove them from Philadelphia to Princeton, they asked what kind of car I had. They wondered why I drove this car instead of a Mercedes. Apparently these cars are not available easily in France. They were impressed that the car was very quiet. I explained that this was one of the nicest features of the LS430. I also explained that I did not know if the car had an engine. I explained that in 3 cars and 7 years of driving a Lexus LS400 or 430 I have never needed to open the hood. I always get the car serviced at Lawrence Lexus. I presume someone at Lawrence Lexus looks to see if everything is OK. One can't be too careful these days. I am wondering if you can send a mechanic over to my house to look under the hood to see if there is an engine in my car?

Sincerely,

Thompson Mahogany Company
